 Sacred Heart Pastoral Council Minutes

 Parish Center Conference Room

 December 15, 2016 at 6:30 pm

Members Present: Dennis Theis, Jeff Murphy, Amy Froetschner, John Kelty, Stephen Schartz, Philip Hammeke, Berny Unruh, Father Warren.

Dennis called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.  Together members recited the Pastoral Council Prayer.

The December agenda and minutes from the November meeting were approved.

 Old Business:

Reports: Discussion was held on concerns about skateboarding and other activity on the new concrete. The concern is about someone getting hurt and also if it is late at night it can be disruptive.  At this time there is not a plan to post signs.  It is private property and we do have the right to make decisions about activities on our property.

Father shared about the Vibrant Ministries Campaign. Presently there is work with Dodge City, Spearville, Wright and Ingalls as pilot parishes. The fund would assist with religious education, seminarians, priest retirement, campus ministry and other needs. The Bishop will come speak about it after the first of the year.

New Business:

The CRE Job Description was reviewed. It is a very comprehensive description. It will be referred back to the PSR committee and the job will be opened for applications.

 Discussion was also held about the Pew card that was shared with the council.

 The meeting concluded with members praying “Glory Be to the Father”.      

Next meeting will be January 19, 2017 @ 6:30 pm in the Parish Center Conference Room.
