SACRED HEART PASTORAL COUNCIL MINUTES
Sacred Heart Office Conference Room
September 17, 2015 6:30 pm
Present: Matt Stucker, Dennis Theis, Berny Unruh, Fay Murphy, John Kelty, Phillip Hammeke and Father Warren Stecklein.
Absent: Stephen Schartz
A tour of the new building was held with Tim Schaller and David Zecha leading the tour. They were able to answer several questions. The council thanked them for all their work.
The meeting continued in the parish office conference room. Minutes from the previous meeting were not available. The council accepted the resignation of Mary Perez. Thank you to Mary for her service. Berny Unruh was asked to serve as secretary.
The members reviewed the Pastoral Council Guidelines. Minor revisions were approved in 2013 and 2014. Several suggested changes will be made to the Bylaws for Structure and Membership, Financial Review and Committee Meeting Minutes. Matt will make changes and email the document to all members for review before the next meeting. A decision about where to post the Constitution on the website will be made at the next meeting.
The pastoral council will continue to meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month with no scheduled meeting in August and December.
Phillip was asked to have the council discuss the future of Children’s Dismissal during mass. Discussion will continue at future meetings and input from parents of younger children is welcome.
The meeting was concluded with a prayer.
Next meeting will be October 15, 2015 @ 6:30 pm at the parish office building.
