Centennial Celebration – POC will be helping with decorations for the centennial dinner. If anyone has fall décor, please start to bring that so we will have plenty to use for decorating. Mark your names on things so they are given back afterward. Elaine Coulson has given Ann several boxes of decorations that we will be able to use. We will plan to decorate on Sunday the 28th at 10:00 at the community center. The Alter Society will be helping – Ann will check to see if they have two volunteers that can help. Ann, Connie, Don, Stacy, and Tammy will be available to decorate. We will also need to be there at the end of the dinner to help clean up the decorations. Ann will contact the flower shop so that we have two bouquets. After the celebration – we will give one of the bouquets to Fr. and the other to the Sisters.
Coffee Hour: October 25th at 9:30 at the Library. The church will be presenting the Centennial Book to the Santa Fe Trail Center. Would love to have as many representing the church as possible – come if you can.

Mary Klinge came to take a picture of the Outreach Committee for the Centennial Book. Mary needs pictures from Sister Irene's birthday. Tammy has those and will get copies to Mary. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Tom Geissel gave another update on the progress for the centennial book. He figures there are about 100 families that have gotten in their family history and a family picture. The committee is still in need of first communion and confirmation pictures. Tom will get the list of names together so that the POC members can divide up those families that need to be contacted regarding getting in their information. The list will be given to Diane - copies will be made for each member with the phone numbers and information.
Barbara Hammond came to work with the POC members on the Nuns for Fun program. The community center has been booked for the evening of May 5, 2012 @ 7p.m. After discussion with the group - the following ticket prices were agreed upon: Student Rate Advanced sales $10, Student Rate At-the-Door - $15, Adult Rate Advanced sales $20, Adult Rate At-the-Door sales $25. Don would be able to work on getting the tickets printed for the event but needs to get working on that as quickly as possible. 750 max tickets will be printed. It will take at least 2 weeks to get things printed and ready for selling. The POC members also decided that a door prize would be offered the night of the event - an item or cash prize will be decided at a later time. Ann and Barbara will do some checking on getting some free advertising for the event - posting fliers, SW KS Register, local newspapers, and possibly radio. Many more items still need to be covered as this event gets closer.
It was decided that the POC would focus on helping the other parish committees with the Nuns for Fun event and details for the Centennial celebration. No "official" parish outreach business will take place for the next several meetings.
NEXT POC MEETING FEBRUARY 19 @ 11:30. Main priority will be to get the flier/advertising together for the Nuns for Fun event and finalize the tickets. Please come if your schedule allows!

Barb and Diane will get together to determine what Outreach is to do before the next meeting in February.
Connie and Tammy had to leave for another commitment. We prayed for guidance and to be a welcoming group for the parish.
